KL MTB Christmas Bash 2017

Back for another year is our members favourite Christmas Bash.

Get the fancy dress costume ready!

On Sunday 17th December we are holding our traditional  Xmas Bash at Shouldham Warren. This year the event will be for club members and guests only and the cost to race will be FREE!!.  Fancy dress is required for all riders, marshals and hopefully spectators will join in the festive spirit.  It is a totally informal event (apart from the fancy dress which is highly competitive!) and after the race we are going to the Kings Arms, Shouldham for a get together and present the prizes.  The cost of the ‘make your own sandwich buffet’ will include roast potatoes, sausages, meat, bread rolls will be £5 per person.
This year we will be holding a separate race for our Junior members which will take place before the adult race.
We also want to give our regular Marshall’s a chance to take part in this festive event so if you would be willing to take on a Marshals/timekeeper role for these races please let me know
Timing for the day:
12.30 pm – Racing will start at Shouldham Warren
3 pm – beer and food at Kings Arms in Shouldham
Email kingslynnmtb@gmail.com if you’re able to join us at the pub and will require food by Wed 13th December  as we need to let the landlord know how many to cater for.

KL MTB Christmas Bash 2015

20th December witnessed the second MTB Christmas Bash held at Shouldham Warren by KL MTB. Every year this event grows in popularity and the festive themed riders become more extravagant!

Taking the race win isn’t the important result here…it’s the best dressed riders which is the hotly contested title everyone wants to win.

With racing kicking off at 11am the course was devised to test Santa and all the associated Christmas Characters!

We were pleased to be joined from Sandringham & West Norfolk Cyclists who came across to watch the start of this unique race.

Lee Woodcock took the race win by the narrowest of margins to James Murphy. In third was Rob Smithers in his festive suit.

See the full race results here.

On the day there were also a range of prizes from fastest lady to best dressed.

Best Dressed (voted for by the race marshals):
Santa and his Elf…James Ashby & partner
